The Trager Approach Level 1 Professional Certification Training

Level 1 is the first training of a comprehensive integrative program of somatic education. It consists of clear

explanations, demonstrations, and structured hands-on practices for learning and embodying the life-enhancing

teachings of Dr. Milton Trager. The Trager Approach, a unique approach to somatic movement education and

therapeutic touch is fully supported by the current understanding of body-mind research on neuroplasticity and

brain training.

Stabilizing the core of this work is the movement practice Dr. Trager called Mentastics, coined from the words

‘mental’ and ‘gymnastics.’ Guided, active and passive movement elicits a state of lightness, freedom, and grounded

connection. A sense of calm aliveness is enhanced through reflex responsiveness. In class, we will work with our

partners standing and sitting, and at the table in supine, prone and basic side lying positions. The heart of Dr.

Trager’s genius rests in what he called ‘hook up’, a state of mind that is open, curious, present, and peaceful.

Students will receive an electronic copy of the Trager Professional Handbook and other resources.

Level 1 training is the first of three intensive trainings in the Professional Certification Program. 

We plan to build a cohort in Folsom, and bring the rest of the program to you if possible!

The program is approved for 40 CEUs with LABMT

About your Instructor:

Judy Fasone, RN, is a solo Instructor for Trager International, and Board-Certified Nurse Health and Wellness Coach.

Judy has been in private practice for 25 years, integrating somatic and nursing approaches to wellness. Judy’s personal and private practice focuses on self-care as health care. She empowers her clients to develop their internal and external awareness, integrating the body, mind, and natural environment for self-healing and wellbeing. www.Judyfasone.com

Prerequisites: Prior to attending the training all participants must attend an Introductory Trager ® Workshop and or

receive a Trager session. No other requirements are needed - Massage, bodywork, and allied health professionals are welcome. You may want to become a practitioner, or help yourself to a more joyful life!

Tuition for Level One Residential Training is $1450 which includes $100 student dues for 2 years and full room and board.

(Based on lodging $50 per night and $25 for food per day per person)
